It takes a slow metamorphosis from the increased pulse rate of first few dates through the days of changing diapers till the evening of the twilight zone - the comfort of knowing each other in totality. Last Sunday my wife Chaitali was making "Luchi and Cholar dal" for breakfast, that's one of my favourite dishes. It was a pretty hot day in Singapore, I walked in the kitchen to take out a can of ice lemon tea. She was heavily sweating; both of her hands were messy with flour. She tried to wipe her forehead with back of her palm, leaving a spot of flour there. Something was in that whole picture, she looked gorgeous. 7/8 years back I would have utter some frivolous words to praise her in this kind of moments. But now, after knowing her for almost 15 years – I just took out a Kleenex and wiped her face and pushed off from the kitchen. Although unspoken, but I believe, that was too a signature of love. Oh yes – she returned a great smile too! 😳😳

Scientifically though 🤓 , the 'falling in love' and 'lifetime love' is quite different. Love at first (OK even second or third) sight is a game of a neurohomone called 'Dophamine' and lifetime affection is decided by 'Oxytocin'!

Do they? 😕😕 Well may due to the same reason as when you go for a holiday in Hawaii together all return with same kind of tan! Couples goes through the same tanning exposure level under the influence of tropical atmosphere called 'family'!

It will be easy for me to say NO. But reality is – in every phase of life we do compromise. Sometime even after betrayal marriage survive, either considering the future of the childrens or to avoid the social embarrassment (especially for the Asian context) or many times just due to the economic dependence of the maltreated woman!

4) Why does summer Zoom by and winter drag on forever??

You are staying too long in US. Time to take a holiday break and visit India during these scorching summer days! 😆

I will tell you the answer of this right after I have a conversation with one of them over a cup of coffee! 😉

Friendship is gender neutral. I have great friends who are eventually women too. This is one of the issues where I seriously against the theories of Freud!

What comes to an end it wasn't a friendship to start with. But sometimes friendship goes into coma – just due to some external factors and lack of physical proximity!

I knew that 90% of human body is water, but bringing in the old 'Glass' analogy is bit too much 😕 – isn't it? How do you measure the emptiness of a person to start with? Isn't it a perception issue?

10) Does money really buy happiness??

I can pretend like a saint and say no, but let me be honest here - sometimes, rather many times – YES! Yesterday I was all alone at home – with pile of office work (+ these kinds of question bouncers) – so naturally feeling a bit down. Then I bought almost $500 of books and DVD from Amazon, some for myself and some for my friends and family as gifts. That made me happy! 😃😃

11) Why is it so hard to say you're wrong??

We come to this earth with preinstalled 'ego operated brain wire'. Besides it's more difficult to realize the fact that you are wrong!

12) When should you reveal a secret you said you wouldn't??

When it doesn't jeopardise the well being of the person who told you the secret and benefit (a lot) to the person you are going to tell it.
