Folks,

Here is Sharib doing 'Yamma Yamma' , the RD song from Shaan.

I think Sharib was unfortunate to have been voted out on such a good performance.

Enjoy.

it was really very very sad to see sharib getting eliminated after this performance! 😭

that day many other contestants were weaker than sharib! along with sharib, nihira and ujjaini were very good.

Sharib peaked early. By then, even others like Vinit, Debojit and Himani hadn't yet peaked. I can only imagine how far Sharib could have gone if he was given a longer run by the public.

From a singing point of view, he was lucky to be in JL's gharana, but from a popularity point of view, he was unlucky. People obviously kept the mentors in mind before voting.

Sharib Sabri has his 'Gala' as Virasat from the Sabri brothers. No wonder he has excellent control on modulation and overall throw.

sharib has the best control of his voice and has excellent musical knowledge and skills, as he has learnt the most, which is why he can attempt the hardest songs with ease. however, i read somewhere that the reason sharib was taken out of c-2005 so early was not because had the lowest votes, it was because at that time, jatin-lalit were undergoing personal problems (with their split from each other), and they didn't want to be in the show anymore, so they sacrificed sharib in the process so that j-l could get off the show.

Where did you hear or read that Sharib is somehow related to Sabri Brothers? They are VERY BIG I am sure if he was related he would have mentioned it at some point on TV to get their supporters to vote for him. I think they just share the name.

Actually on SRGMP Challenge 2005, there was an episode where they were showcasing all top 12 finalists, and for Sharib they introduced him as "Sabri brothers ke shehzade". Sharib himself has also said in an interview that he has taken training under Ustad Akram Sabri, who is one of the Sabri brothers I believe. Sharib is related to the Sabri brothers, which is why he has SUCH good control of his voice -- he's learned music extremely well.
