Heard the show yesterday and as usual i was lost in the music - the most pleasant hour plus of my day.

I enjoyed all the songs and i'm looking forward to the continuation of the SD Burman special next week especially since i found out through the show that one of my all-time favourite tunes to hum to is by him...Koraa Kaghaz from Aradhana...i've been listening to it over and over again 😃

Thank you to all those associated with putting together retro cafe 👏 👍🏼

Hey Jas - great to hear that. Today morning I received many PMs saying they were not aware of the fact that some of their favorite songs actually created by dada Burman! And the SD special helped them to realize that! I am so glad to hear that! 😊

I remember - as a young girl, I used to love 'Raat Akeli Hai' and 'Baithe hai kya unke paas' from Jewel Thief, and loved the ChhayaGeet episodes on radio whenever they played these numbers... but I always thought that it was Pancham's composition... Then after a while, when I started buying cassettes for personal collection, I was surpirsed to find that Jewel Thief was SD's score! The music (esp these songs) was so very ahead of its times...😊
