Does it pay to suck up to the judges by being coy even if you do not agree with what they say just to be at the tops??????????????? I believe in being honest and direct even if I lose due to my straight forwardness, at least I have put my point across and made myself clear and I always believe in being truthful.
The deal is like this. At this level there are some of the singers who are above average. For example Vishwas, Ujjaini, Saptak, Aishwarya, Sharib, Niladri, Hrishikesh etc etc.
Everyone has his or her own strengths and weaknesses in singing, therefore are almost at par with each other. People like singing talent but if that is nullified (or sometimes even not nullified) , they look at the personal aspect. They do not want any arrogant or disrespectful person to walk away with the 5 million rupee contract.
That is why all this hullaballoo and judgement of character.
