You asked for it Anol, you invited me to visit IF again đ
Jokes apart, thanks for the action.
Okay from a neutral perspective, I'm a little miffed at the way each and every topic comes to rest at blaming HR. Let me be the mediator here.
Possibility 1. Vinit doesn't have a girlfriend - it was all scripted by GS/Zee.
In that case, it was simple marketing strategy. If we assume that was scripted by GS, then so was the Sharib-Twinkle story, and Vishwanath's sher, and Rajeev-Vishwas' tiff. If so, then GS is at fault here. And not only him. It happens in every show. Just look at Sonu Nigam reading some hypothetical air hostess' letter for Karunya in Indian Idol. Don't blame just GS or HR here.
Point 2. Vinit doesn't have a girlfriend - it was planned by HR.
Fine. HR made up a story. And people fell for it. Foolish people? Maybe not. But people voted for Vinit in a music show only based on the fact that he had a love story going. Foolish people? Yes! I think the blame lies more with the people than HR here. He simply threw everything he had at them, and they gobbled it up. Just like they gobbled up all the other stories, like the TS love story, etc. Sure, if HR lied, then it's not very moral. But then, contestants visiting old age homes, children's homes, street children, and saying they will visit them every week for an hour and not doing so - is that moral? It's all publicity and vote politics.
I myself was taken in by the story, and was curious as to who Vinit's gf is, but I never voted for Vinit based on that. As for the people who did, can you imagine them blaming HR, "We voted for Vinit because you said she has a girlfriend, but he doesn't. You lied, and now we want our votes back." How sad does that sound?
Point 3. Vinit does have a girlfriend - but doesn't want to admit her name.
In that case, please leave the poor kid alone. Just because his mentor announced that he has a girlfriend doesn't mean that he or his mentor are obliged to announce her name to the world. There's something called privacy. Let's respect it.
I was a silent observer for a while - couldn't help bringing in my views. Don't get me wrong - I'm not defending HR here - simply saying that everything that happens in the world is not necessarily to be blamed on HR.

Hi Shady,
Thanks for bringing your views in a congenial manner like our friend Lalit here.
There are many possibilities as pointed out by you but they all boil down to one thing... Achieving the much needed TRP for the show....
I dont think people are foolish to vote for any candidate because of his love affair voting is done solely on personal preference.
All this drama merely adds the entertainment quotient to the show and hooks you up to the box. I have many friends who watched the show just because it had all the fights and drama. Most of them enjoyed it thoroughly. Even haters of the drama watched the show and kept coming back to the show. We all can see what happened to the TRP of EMET, call the mentors back to the show and see what happens to the TRP đ
On this note... full credit should be given to Gajji and all the mentors for presenting such nice and SUCCESSFUL show ever... in terms of TRPs and in terms of NO of playback singers this single show produced. Compare all previous versions of saregamapa and you will understand what I am talking about.
