Yesterday, Twinkle mentioned that when they had a press conference in Allahabad and appealed for votes, they were asked, "Why should we vote? What will we get in return?"

That really made me think!

What do we get in return? We spend so much of time and money sending SMSs - is it of any use?

Can we put the same time and money to better and more productive uses?

Its actually depends on each person choice...

I agree to Twinkle & Vishwas too...like Vishwas said Vote not depends on talent...its just show that people liek them more...

They are adding masalas each week & make soem one villain in public to get more votes !!!

Yes let us place a BIG piggy bank in the middle of Chandni Chowk and put a notice there - "please donate here for <insert a noble cause> instead of spending in SMS"! How many do you think will do that?

What the productive use and how the collection will be done Sir?

SMS voting are not done by the 'have-not's (trust me they don't care about Voice of India or Chemistry) - so there is no question of getting back anything - neither that is necessary! It's called rolling the economy in macroeconomics term!

basically people who vote are paing for their jodis win. The jodi wins because you payed fot it through sending SMS. Honestly I don't see a point in sending 3000 sms per day one i can maybe understand but the way people vote in india isjust ridiculous

It is true..eventually these shows will see a gradual decrease in public participation and spending. I feel whatever votes EMET is now getting majority are from netvotes.
