Here is the audio clip of that beautiful song from Jism (original by Shreya Ghoshal) which made Neha Rajpal win over NJ in that episode. The judge was composer M M Kreem himself. His serene face was a treat to watch as he listened to Neha.

You are right Soulsoup. The girl extreme left is Neha. The one in the middle is Shoma Banergee. This picture is from the same episode of Popular Choice in which Neha went past NJ.

I had seen that episode... I felt Nihira had sung better than Rajpal... If i rememebr correctly, Nihira had sung "Chup Tum Raho, Chup Hum Rahen" from Is raat ki subah nahi...

Yes - but there was a performance round (predecessor of today's Chemistry 😉) and Dr. Neha did a great show!

You are right. I have posted that NJ song recently in one of my earlier threads. For me today NJ is a different singer, way ahead of others. On that particular day , I felt it was neck-to neck and from the expressions of MM Kreem, it looked as if it was this particular performance of Neha which made him choose her.And I respect his judgement since he was judging his own songs.

this episode was one of the best ever episodes of Saregama... all the girls had sung terrific that day... just awesome...
