I didn't have too many expectations from the movie since the book is all analytical and the scope for actual action is very limited ( it just lays bare analysis and reasoning every step of the way) and much as I predicted the movie was lackadaisical.

Which is fine - that is not my complaint at all.....

My sole grouse is that the Ron Howard had one very very powerful weapon in his hands - that of stirring up a powerful controversy that could have shaken the deep-rooted Christian beliefs to the core.... and he didn't do justice to that....

One doesn;t come out of the theatre gasping "Blasphemy" !!!

One just comes out and says ... whatever.... very languid response
