Anol Da her is my dedication for the legend They never die they are Immortal they live with you like all the other legend.

I miss something today, I miss someone today, and maybe I miss a part of me which went away along with you, you whom I cannot frame anywhere now, you who is without an image, but you still exist. How is it possible? Image less but still living at some corner of my heart, when i feel you are no more you make a sound which wakes me up in the silence of the night and I walk into the lanes of memory, there is lot of mist there, I cannot make out where you are, but yes, I can feel your sound around me.

A great music director, Naushad, brought both the vigour of Uttar Pradesh's folk music and the grace of the old UP Nawab Courts to his immortal music of the 40s and 50s.

A wonderful description of his music. I would say his music was more of about the grace of a bygone Muslim era than rustic folk music (exception: nain lad jayi hey from Ganga Jamuna). BTW it is "nain lad jayi he' not 'nain lad gayi he' if I am not mistaken.

qwestji,

Great tribute to the legend, he is no more physically with us, but emotionally he is evergreen, whenever mughal-e-azam comes to memory, naushadji will be there. Very few are left now of that Golden period.

This is really a sad day. Naushad was one of my favorite music directors from the Golden Era. I cannot express how much I have enjoyed his classics like Mother India, Mughal-e-azam, Mere Mehboob, Ram Aur Shaam, Saathi, Baiju Bawra, Ganja Jamuna, Kohinoor, Leader, Urankhatola... and so many more films. He will remain an immortal legend in the music world.

It is a Black day

These days I am getting shocking death news from India.. First Dr.Raj Kumar, Pramod Mahajan, now it is Naushad... still 8 months to go šŸ˜• šŸ˜• šŸ˜•

Here is an interesting article abt last days of Naushad

Naushad treated doctors to couplets

Legendary musician Naushad, who passed away at a local hospital here today, used to regale the doctors attending him and other medical staff with 'shers' (couplets) and some of his compositions for films.

"Once he recited a sher that went - 'Yeh dil baar baar toot ta hai, banta nahin (this heart breaks down often, it does not heal)," Dev Pahlajani, head of the cardiology department at Nanavati Hospital and one of the doctors who treated Naushad, said.

"He was a very jovial man. The next time I hear his songs, I shall always remember his last days with us in the hospital," he said.

Naushad suffered a cardiac arrest at 9.15 am today at the hospital, where he was admitted a week ago, Pahlajani said.

"He had undergone a bypass surgery 20 years ago and also four angioplasties, one of them prior to the bypass surgery," he said.

Along with the cardiac problem, Naushad had of late been suffering from a minor kidney ailment, he said.
