If only one was clued into a million homes that vote for the jodi's in Ek Main Aur Ek Tu, the results that unveiled in today's elimination episode would not have come as a surprise. But the unexpected is the magic of a reality show and this one has loads of it.

A jodi who returned to the contest after being voted out as the Groovy Gurus saw great improvement in their singing are turned out by the viewer's once again. The Southern Spice jodi of Sinchan/Irfan are out of the Ek Main Aur Ek Tu series.
Only two weeks back the judges had used their veto vote for them saying that they were one jodi who had made remarkable progress since the series had started. Receiving 2,14,354 votes from India, Sinchan/Irfan were barely behind the borderline jodi Rajeev/Sanchali who got 2, 25,487 votes. It was a very close tally of votes among the jodi's with just a difference of few thousand votes between each of them.
Speaking to tellychakkar.com, Hariharan said he had no regrets in using the veto power for Sinchan/Irfan.and that it was a matter of chance with viewer voting. And, Leslie Lewis said, "Watching them in the first episode, I thought they would be first to go as they were weakest from the lot. But, their determination to work their way up from tips that Hariharan and I gave them and their consistently improving performances showed that they have it in them to excel in this field. Their efforts are a lesson to all who want to achieve their dream. It is sad to see them go."

Another major upset was Rajeev/Sanchali, who has been number one with viewers for the last three week's getting the least votes this week. And, the youngest jodi of Ujjaini/Aishwarya take over as the number one for the first time. As Shaan summed this episode saying, "The results from the public this week has turned the rankings upside down and we are in for a very close competition with all jodi's singing better every week."

The set's lighting has been changed to give an electrifying effect for an episode that has the jodi's singing club songs. But, that's not the only new change on today's episode. It has the Groovy Guru's playing hosts, results read out by the jodi's themselves, the viewer ranking's reveals a whole new list of preferences and finally when the jodi voted out is known, emotions run very high. Both Sinchan/Irfan wonder why the public failed to see their progress and sang Hum Hain Iss Pal Yahaan as their last song on the show.
