Karvachauth is a fast that a wife keeps for the long age of her husband.. She is not supposed to eat or drink anything, till the time the moon appears(which apparantely appears late that day 😡) and then after looking at the moon and then her husband, she opens her fast.. The Hindi cinema, makes it more dramatic by showing, husband feeding wife and husband making the wife drink water and all that...
