Even though I could not able to call him but here are some of the update from Koti and Hema live interview in Aditya:
The show began with the introdcution of Koti by the anchor. And then Koti introduced Hema with lots
of praise. He said that Hema sang his songs without any first time fear or hesitation. There is lot
of depth in his singing at such an young age. Even though Koti initially thought of giving one song to Hema but listening to him, he gave him another 2 songs. Koti says it is actually very tough to make a new singer sing and that to sing a new song is difficult but he was very lucky in the case of Hema since he was able to pick things fast and got into the feel of the song as soon he hears it. He said Hema gave life to his songs. He sings very openly which only few singer like SPB, Chitra and P susheela do. He also said that studio mikes are different from stage mikes. Studio mikes are very sensitive and can even the slighest of voice such as a blow can be heard but Hema knew the mike techniques and managed it very well. Koti said he would make hema sing his next album and also blessed Hema to sing for big mds like ARR.
Koti said he was spell bound by hema nahin samne song in saregamapa and listening to that song he decided to give singing chance to Hema.
Most of the callers were seems to big fans of Koti and Hema.And they seems to enjoyed saregamapa because of Hema.
They praised Hema and said both he and karunya are real winners.Most of them also asked how Hema felt to see Karunya lost II2. Hema said he felt bad that our own people are not
voting.
Hema had participated in many competitions and won several prizes. In one of such competition, MD of saregamapa spotted him and asked him to participate
in challenge2005. He says this is the first time he has attempted hindi songs since he doesnt have much touch with the language but in 1 month he could able
to pick it up.
When asked whether he is mobed by fans. He says he is wearing specs to not to be recognised.
He sang Premante Inte, Endhuko Etho, Munde mudipadi, Nahin Samne, Sathiya and Come to me during this show.
All his songs were superb but his Come to me was excellent. He sang that song without any music and his voice modulation, variations and quick switch over from high note to low note and vice versa was simply mind blowing.
The show ended with both koti and hema singing premante inte and Endhuko etto.
