Yeah. those anecdotes about SD have made my day! 😆 I have forwarded them to my mom, my sister, my neighbour etc etc. You know what? I KNEW by intuition that SD would be like that!! I just knew it.

How sweet HP Chaurasia is. My mother who attended his concert in bangalore said that he gave a superlative performance even at this age and he regaled them with jokes in between. Looking at the immense talent of Chaurasia, you can imagine how great Annapoorna Devi was!

No Anol I think maybe you are right. That movie is possibly not about the same aannapurnaji we are talking about here. It is possibly a movie from the story Annapurna written by Ashapurna Devi.

Chaurasia ji is very sweet that much I can tell from my personal experience. I have met him twice when he came for a concert at Kharagpur. A very down to earth earth person and very soft spoken too. Someone I really admire a lot.
