There are many people abroad who have become avid fans of SRGMP, including myself. Someone here said they are leaving because people are constantly only talking about Challenge 2005; but that has been a landmark for India in attracting everyone abroad and making the show an international show. At gatherings we all still talk about the show. Shaan, if you are reading this then kudos to you, Mr. Gajendra Singh and the entire crew. Watching the musicians is awesome.

If there was a Viswanath on American Idol or any other show, he would have been kicked out!! That kind of insult is inexcusable and not to an international standard. Raktima should be retained and found another partner; its not her fault. IT IS HIGHLY UNFAIR TO ELIMINATE RAKTIMA FOR SHE HAS POTENTIAL!!!! Is anyone going to tell that to EMET people??

We would like to know where is Gaurav Bhangia and why he has never returned to the show!! I know he started with Shaan. It would do your show good by keeping in touch with past singers and informing viewers where they are and what they are doing; and perhaps give them a bit of boost if they are still struggling.

I have never been to India but I am a VERY proud Indian. India is a great country. Keep up the good work!!!!

I doubt that.. in case you didn't follow the controvery in early stages of American Idol last time - even the judges Simon n randy were making homosexual jokes about some gay participants.. they actually made them cry.. and the cameras went into the rooms to capture them crying

It's all masala.. works in US too..

Hi Kusum,

I am from canada too.

I like your posts.👏👏 I faintly remember gaurav baangia.Isn't he the guy who had won non stop 9 times before he lost. I think it was at the same time when Shaan took over the reigns of Saregamapa. I liked his singing.

I hope the judges will sensibly use their veto power and bring back the most deserving participants back.

I don't know who Gaurav Bangia is.. but in any case, I feel he's had his day in the sun.

If he wanted to come back, he would have gone through the process - like Nihira did. She was a past winner too - but she also had to go through the process in C2005.

Zee can't just bring him back and pop him in anywhere. Maybe he didn't want to come back.

And by the way - this poll doesn't make sense to me. Why are we comparing past singers to Vishwanath, of all people??

That's like comparing Rafi/Kishore/Mukesh etc to Himesh (no offense to HR fans)

Thanks to your responses. Gaurav Bhangia is NOT being compared to Viswanath. He won I believe ten times and started when Shaan started with the show. What is being asked is that when we watch the show and are so much into it, it would be nice to bring back some of the past winners once in a while and give updates on them as many of us overseas donot get the news you living in India do.

Het why can't zee bring him back? Is there any written rule that says a previous participant cannot be brought back? 😕
