See, Reality show turns most Vulgar!

by Subhash K Jha

Reality television turns a crass corner. It was Allahabad versus Ahmedabad at the recording for Ek Main Aur Ek Tu this week. And Ahmedabad decidedly came out looking embarrassed.

The city's participant Vishwanath brought the event to a standstill when he made an utterly crass and vulgar comment about his singing partner Raktima.

Reliving the nightmare during Monday's recording Ek Main Aur Ek Tu's producer-director Gajendra Singh says, "We were all stumped. Why did Vishwanath do it? We've no clue. But he made the most vulgar remark about his singing partner.

"To the girl's credit she held her peace on camera. But she blasted Vishwanath later. We were all aghast. Our judge Hariharan got up and rushed to hit the boy, and rightly so. We had to stop him. Our guest-judge Alka Yagnik-ji was speechless."

Apparently the Ahmedabad boy's crass comment was a result of professional jealousy.

"There's another contestant Biswas from Allahabad who does beautiful sher-o-shayari on every episode. That's what he did during Monday's recording.

To be one-up on Biswas, Vishwanath decided to make his crude comment. Little did he know all hell would break loose….Ever since it happened, Vishwanath has been crying and begging everyone from me to Hariharanji to Alkaji to his singing partner, for forgiveness. Frankly I'm in a jam."

Singh is unsure whether he should telecast the boy's misconduct on Thursday and thereby ruin the boy's singing career,or edit the fracas out.

"I know I'll be accused of sensation-mongering. But I've no choice but to retain the pandemonium during recording," sighs Gajendra Singh. "It's the only way I can justify Vishwanath's expulsion from Ek Main Aur Ek Tu."

I just saw this episode and it was not clear from the edit as to what was said
and what the true reactions were.

I doubt that these classy judges would go up and hit some stupid kid
assuming he said something vulgar.

As for Subhash Jha -- that man has no credibility whatsoever.

It is all about respect.....

Sorry about my selling erroes.

I don't agree!

So basically you're saying that if, in American Idol, for instance - a contestant says about a fellow female participant - "I stick your picture in my toilet.. I eat constipation tablets so I can come see you regularly" - that would be acceptable? 😡😆
