I think for me Sa Ra Ga Ma Pa is over and done. For money and TRP, Gajraj has totally destroyed the show that maintained such high standard and distinguished itself from others year after year. I wonder what our music maestros, such as Shiv-ji, Hari-ji, OP Nayyar sab and old stalwarts, who supported this show all these years must be thinking after seeing where the show has fallen to.
The first episode of EMAET.....the less I say about it, the better. What horrible singing.. the same people who sung so well in C2005, sounded so awful. And those ugly skin-tight, hip-hugging pink dresses with ultra-tight tops...yak! One girls top was not even covering her belly..chhee!....Are the girls really comfortable wearing those dresses? Are their parents OK with how their daughters are projected on national TV?
My respect for Nihira and Swananda has gone up even more now. They were the strong minded women, who put their foot down and refused to wear whatever Gajraj threw at them.
Is this an Indian music show or a skin-tight dress competition...
