As far sa Vitin goes he will become a money making device for Himesh if he is not careful. Since his popularity and the sympathy vote for losing in the final is very heavy Himesh will definitely encash it to the fullest. Vinit should not travel for concerts so soon and make a name for himself before he does so else he may be relegated to being a second rung singer - more likely the likes of Voice of Mohd Rafi or Sonu Nigam ( who are dime a dozen) type instead of carving a niche for himself in the world of Hindi Film music. Vinit is young and should not allow himself to be utilized by any one Music Director for his (MD's) personal gain. Lets accept it HR is not taking Vinit for a Dubai concert out of love it is to encash on his current popularity - and this populartiy may be shortlived if Vinit is not careful and allows himself to be used in such a manner. Instead of being happy for Vinit going for one concert to Dubai and spewing poison against Debojit Vinits supporters should advise Vinit (is he pays heed and even has ever looked at IF as a forum where he is popular) not to undertake such a tour so early in his still infantile career.

The article (via the link provided) does not say much about the dubai trip. Why so much of noise about it?

Who else is going with whom, who are the other singers, who are the organizers... etc. etc. all these are also important. Just going to dubai is no big deal. It does not cost much these days...

One thing I have noticed in this forum that some people are prejudiced that "Voice of India" can only be a Hindi-wala. This is wrong and another kind of regionalism.

Anyways, it is my thought, you may differ.

I think what Work meant was -

Debu is the winner and will be performing in US soon.. probably sooner than Vinit.

But Vinit will probably be seen performing in Ravindralaya or Ganna Sansthan Auditorium, or Lakshman Mela grounds in Lucknow, Or Jumeira Beach Sheraton, or International Trade Center in Dubai pretty soon. Good Luck Vinit! Great going!
