After losing to Debojit in the mega final of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa

After months of trial and tribulation, Debojit emerged victorious in the keenly contested Sa Re Ga Ma Pa leaving the other contestant Vinit stunned. Vinit who hails from Lucknow didn't know what hit him.

"I'm very happy for Debu bhaiyya. He has worked hard to get where he has. But I don't understand what happened. Of course I wanted to win and I was pretty sure I would," adds Vinit, in tears at the outcome.

In fact, Debojit's victory came as a surprise to the entire team. Another contestant Himani is equally baffled. "I always felt Vinit would win. He had the confidence and the edge too. Everyone liked Vinit. So what went wrong?" she says.

Vinit, although dejected, is confident about the future. "There are so many contestants from Indian Idol and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa who didn't quite make it to the top," he justifies. "But today they're doing just fine and are on their way to success. By God's grace I'm already recording songs with my mentor Himeshji. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa gave me a headstart. Now let's see where I go from here."

Like Vinit, many of the runners-up and finalists from Sa Re Ga Ma Pa are in two minds about going into its follow-up Ek Main Aur Ek Tu. "It's a programme of leftovers," sneers an undisclosed runner-up.

yea he kind of had it coming...he always said "mujhe mein poora bharoosa hai ke main jeeth loonga" no wonder it was such a big shock

Vinit would have won, if not for the "wanting to walkout" fiasco leaving Debojit to fend for himself. Many folks swayed their vote in Debojit's favor after that episode. The difference between them was less than 1%. This was a price Vinit had to pay for his role in it. Hopefully he will continue to respect fellow artists, play by the rules and move forward from here.

If Vinit today lost it was just for one reason "Assam ki Voice" call. This call just made the people living in the NE to make sure that Debu wins. We can't call a part of India that way. It almost amounts to calling them non-Indian. And that made them vote for Debu more. And make sure he wins.

But Vinit best of Luck. You have a bright future.

Unfortunately his mentor over inflated his ego, and that got to Vinit's head. I'm sure HR convinced him that Debo was nothing if it wasn't for the support of NE etc, etc.

Vinit wasn't mature enough to look beyond that, or focus more on his singing and how to improve it.

Well hopefully he learns from this experience, and grows up a little.

Agreed HR hype was the problem along withhis antics without those antics Vineet had abetter shot since he was loved at teh startby elders and young girls/kids. I mena elders thought he was a sweet kid, however, with time he showed aggorance and taking part in the walkout when he was secured just showed his aggorance. Actually whether he made it or not taking part in the walkout was wrong and hurt him!! It also hurt hema and himani who too had a sot to get to the top two. Than once Vineet was in the top 2 his mentor kept harping onthe northeast and their voting trend he should haveconcentrated on his participant instead of external issues. Also Adesh too lost out 2 participants since he attacked external issues such as voting trends (otherwise one of his participants would have had a great shot at being inthe top two.

All I will say let thisbe a lesson that aggornace is not the way to go!!!!

I am so happy I supported a sweet person in the name of Paresh who never took part in antics and supported all and ask those to vote if they liked his singing he never used region or other types of emotional antics. He also lacked support of HR and seeing him performing after a long time shows his improvement. This guy just needs the right training and guidance and will make.

Paresh when and if releases an album I will surely purchase it and listen to it!!!

Well said teenindia_usa. Paresh is no doubt a classy guy and while I am
not his #1 singing fan, he seemed to be one of the nicest guys on the
show.

Given the rules/format of SRGMP C2005 and HR's antics, Vinit had the
best chance of winning but I think that the walkout hurt all three
contestants' reputations. No doubt Debo always enjoyed strong support
from Assam but the targeting of Debo and the insulting comments re: the
Northeast galvanized a whole section of India as well and IMO some
Bengalis who were not so hyped for Debo to spend time voting for him.

I do feel that Debo deserved to win over Vinit based on technical merit.
But no doubt HR and Vinit played the game very well until the walktout
fiasco and the overconfidence with low marks.

BTW, Subhash Jha is clearly an HR chamcha. He is forever writing these
ridiculous articles so no one should take him seriously. The ENTIRE
team? I doubt it. In fact except for Himani, everyone else seemed happy
that Debo won. Especially Paresh and Ujjaini -- who can blame them.
Nihira and Twinkle were also very happy for their guru bhai. Sharib and
Rajeev seemed sympathetic to Vinit but not that unhappy. I forgot about
the others. Chandu seemed happy for Debo but to be honest, it was all a
blur.

Among all the guests who were called as judges, Subhash Ghai is the only person who knows what clicks in the market. He is known for his super hit songs. He supported Debo, and that is very important. I was very eager to know only his choice as he is truly a successful person in this industry, and he is somebody who will not come under anybody's pressure.
If he says Debo is better than DEbo is better. 😊

Vinit, U should have won . Debo doesn't stand anywhere near u. U have great voice , commitment,sincerety,confidence. Keep it up ...U are going to be bollywood voice for long time to come !!!!!!
