Lip-synching in Calcutta Episode

Absolutely correct. It was no use watching the show except for the weird HR remarks!

EXACTLY. I WAS CORRECT. Debujit lip sung HEMA'S SONG. Right here right now. It was sung by Hema in previous episodes. When he said "wined your body to tight" or sumtin, THAT WAS HEMA'S EXACT VOICE!!!!!!!!

Stop this Bullshit, OK. I had enough of this nonsense. Do you think that Hema was the only singer in Challenge 2005. I understand that you are a Hema fan and I am too, but that does not mean you go on spreading this kind of rumors.

Off course the song was pre-recorded but it was pre-recorded by Debo. Do you think that HR would have allowed that.

HR would do anything. he would let debu do it. Than people start hating him. and turning there love for Debu in to Love for Vinit 😆

I agree with AppaRao on this.. I don't think the producer/directors/mentors/contestants would let a goof-up of that length happen on the show. The song was probably sung by Hema before on the show, but when Dubu lip-synched it yesterday, it was on the version that he (Debu) himself had sung.
SImilarly, one of the songs from Dil Chahta hai was a repeat on the show yesterday - "Koi kahe kehta rahe", but it was not the same version that had been sung on the show before.. that version had been sung by all three - Debu, Hema and Vinit.

Thanks for opening this topic. I was going crazy while listening to them. I rewinded a few times just to make sure I wasn't going crazy. Thank God I am not the only one who noticed this!

Yes, I think it is absolutely ridiculous. If these singers have made it so far based on their talent then they need to take the challenge and sing live in front of audience. How can they expect things to come in a platter for them!!! And how did Zee-SRGMP team allow this!!!! This is absolutely cheating! 😡

I think the only person who sang live was HR - Aapki kashish 😕

I saw the Calcutta episode just yesterday on the telecast in US. And I am completely at the end of my wits to see the contestants lip-synching on not just the opening song, but ALL songs!!!! 🤢

On one hand, Shaan had previously announced that the shows at Delhi and Calcutta will test the nerves of the contestants under pressure, and on the other hand, Vinit, Debu and their mentors were lip-synching to pre-recorded songs!! 😕 Isn't that ridiculous?? I mean, this is supposed to be a "contest", and it looked nowhere close to it. It came across to me more like an exam where the answer sheets had been filled out at home in leisure and edited/proof-read several times before submitting for evaluation!! I was truly disappointed with the show yesterday.

Does anyone here understand why these contestants were made to lip-sync, and that too in a musical contest?? It beats me completely!
