So recent conversations with some people have made me think.. Am I too involved??? Am I too emotionally attached to the partcipiants on Saregamapa Challenge 2005?
Well the answer is YES i definitely am emotionally attached to some of the contestants.. Why is that? I mean I don't know them, they don't know me..then where did this bond come from? why did it happen? How did they become a part of my life in such a way that I started to rearrange my schedule so that I would be home and FREE right before the show started so I could watch it without interruption?
The thing is like most of us who watch the show, I have been watching them for the past 6 plus months and along the way we have all formed opinions on each contestants and chosen our favorites. We have formed a liking for certain ones and dislikes for others..We like some due to their personality, some impress us with their voice, some form a place into our hearts with their simplicity whereas others annoy us with their lil quirky habits whatever it maybe!
Here is a look into my opinion about the final 12 in the order they were eliminated!
Raktima - She annoyed me but had a NICE voice...definitely did not deserve to be the first one out!
Sharib - One of my favorites amongst the males .. sounds much better than Vinit MOST of the times would have loved to see him and Hema compete as the final two males. Almost made me cry..didnt cry though my eyes were moist
Swananda - Never saw what the big deal about her was anyways..didnt think she was good enough to be compared with Asha ji or to make it to the top 12.
Rajeev - He seemed like a nice guy so it was nice that the public got him through to the top 12 though he didnt deserve it but he should have DEFINITELY gone out before Sharib
Twinkle - The most heartbreaking elimination for me! This was the first contestant who made me cry when they left..She was the one with the brightest personality..she had the smile which warmed ur heart...she was cute, had the looks, could sing well (though not the BEST out of the females) and just a NICE girl...always the one to console a leaving contestant...always the one to say how can I celebrate making it through when a friend is leaving us today? For me it was very hard to see her go because I felt Ujjaini should have gone before her and Raktima and it was unfair that she was still there where as my Twinkle Twinkle Little Star had to leave and tonight would be the last night that I would be seeing her..*sigh* I am hoping there are GREAT things in her future though cuz she was WONDERFUL!
Ujjaini - Less said about her the better! Salman and India should have picked Sanchali over Ujjaini to bring back in the show..boy was I glad to FINALLY see her go!
Paresh - Nice guy from London who was an okay singer but definitely seemed well liked by everyone including the mentors, the contestants, the host etc. etc. Of course again he should have gone after Rajeev but before Sharib!
Nihira - Undoubtedly the deserving winner of the show and the only other contestant who made me cry besides Twinkle when they left. This girl had the most amazing voice! I would not be surprised if tomorrow she ended up reaching almost to the heights of Lata ji. Very simple, reserved girl who concentrated on nothing but her singing...it was VERY unfair when the public voted her out..it just goes to show that Ismail Darbar was very right when he said "Jo Dikhta Hai wohi Bikta Hai" Just because she couldn't shake her @ss and give latke jhatkes people didnt vote for her..I do know she is flooded with offers right now so I am VERY happy to know that and wish her nothing but the BEST!
Himani - Well I have to say she was the most improved female contestant of the final 12 BUT after the walkout staging scene she created I didnt mind her leaving..actually I was kinda glad to see her go seeing her true side come out. Didn't feel bad at all...
Hema - Like I said before, would have loved to see him being the final 2 male with Sharib. He made my eyes moist like Sharib...his last day on the show was undoubtedly his BEST! I know he was a part of Himani's walkout staging incident BUT he seemed like he was forced by Aadesh & Himani to go along with it...he did seem like a simple and nice guy as well. Last thing I know of Hema, he has 11 movie offers 2 of which are from Subhash Ghai and 2 offers from private albums so Best of Luck to you Hema.
Vinit - No doubt he sings Sonu Nigam & Rafi songs VERY well but any other song that you give him and he is not even good enough to be in the top 2. Himesh is taking any credit left out of Vinit with the way he is acting. May the best man win.
Debojit - Again he did not deserve to make it to the top 2 BUT he is the most improved male contestant in the final 12. Right now with each passing round he impresses me with how much better he has gotten. Ismail Darbar & the people of NorthEast are great for supporting him as much as they have. May the best man win.
PHEW i can't believe this turned out to be this long...so just from this I guess you could say..yea..I am TOO involved and very happily so!!
