Sonu sweating on II2 - Page 2

Sonu has a point..we dont want an actor. II 1 has compitition. Amit Sana, Rahul, Aditi Paul, Prajkta,
Rahul Sexena..I mean they all were capable of becomming
II 1.

What Sony did in Fame Gurukul Lost Arijit and Anubhuv,
Kirti kind of singers so early. And no offence and
chose QUZI as the BEST SINGER. I liked Qazi as a person.
But i know many people who can sing better then Qazi...
Point is.. it is very important to put right thing on the table...Sonu ji...good job...i am glad you have guts to speak out.

Specialy some time Farha comments are very wrong.
remember when Meenal sang so beautiful first song
Farha was so stupid to bring her image down, since
then she is in bottom three. Thank God recently she on this AVTAR 'MAI CHUP RAHUNGI' please Farha DDDDooooo 😡

sonu is very honest and brutally frank.I hope our mentors were like sonu honest and promoted the best singer.Shame on all of them including ID.

well my pov on this is diff....i think indian idol's copncept is way diff than sa re ga ma..while idol's conecpt is more for album and lookiing for a performer....sa re gam ma is looking for genuine singers.
also they present the final 12 after selecting them from thousands and the rest they just leave it to the public and accept their verdict which shows that the voting is transparent and genuine coz if they had wanted,they cld have easily chucked the bad singers out and showcased the talented excellent singers instead a qazi got more votes and he won and same with idol 2
both are good shows ,personally i think indian idol is a lot entertaining and light and i find sa re ga ma more serious and less enjoyable but both are good reeality shows

Sonu is very knowledgable in music....very good singer...and will be a successful MD soon....he is planning to cut a semi classical album with a top notch classical musician..and he has already given music for his own album "chanda ki doli"...
He is a total misfit there....he should leave that clown show and start his own musical show......a good one like old saregama he used to host and give a tight slap to Gajji and II people for making music a political arena...
saregamapa will be HR and AS 's crappy show and II will be anu and farah's show.
Then anu can give standing ovation/crappy shayari to any ordinary singer and HR can rob anyone's clothes......

Sonu is great and wish he was at sa re aga ma pa however that would not sit well since he left the show and is ona rival one.

Indian idol is sister of American idol which is a huge hit abroad so they have to go on those basis and the judgews of american idol are like those of indian idol two guys and a woman. Sonu is simon (who is very to point) farah (taking on paula's role though paula is really pretty) and I guess Anu is playing the role of the thrid judge his name escapes me right now)! So yes its an all rounder where singing is not the only judge!

Sa re ga ma pa is a show that hasbeen around a long time and will as long as it keeps its standards. Its ok to get glitzy yet should keep its standards thats teh key!

Sonu Nigam displeased with Indian Idol!

Sonu Nigam has been the judge of Indian Idol Part 1 and he sits again on the judge's chair for Indian Idol Part 2. This talent show, which has been running smoothly till now, recently faced the rage of the talented singer. While the shooting of an episode was on, Sonu Nigam got miffed over the choice of songs that Sony had asked the contestants to sing. Neha Kakkar with 'Zubi zubi zubi' and Antara Mitra with 'Tu rutha' were posing with the song when Sonu just lost his cool. The singers got scarred and also burst into tears.

On the whole take of things Sonu Nigam says, "I have been unhappy over the selection of songs for some time now, but this time around it was particularly bad. Looks, make-up and the other factors can be worked on, but the ultimate criterion in a music contest is the voice. There are millions of good-looking girls and boys, but there are just a handful of people who can sing well. What is the difference between a common singer and an Indian Idol then? I definitely agree that an Indian Idol should be selected in totality. But the music aspect needs to be given attention too. It simply cannot take a backseat. We have to give these aspiring singers challenging songs to test their talents. I understand that the channel has a certain format to follow. But I guess a lot of undue attention is being given to makeovers. I have also requested the channel that the contestants be given more rest and make less public appearances."

Anupama Mandloi, Sr. Vice President Sony TV says that the songs are not forced on any singers and they can change the song if they don't like it and opt for another choice. The music director handles the aspect of training and as it is a seasonal show the talent has to be groomed as per the format.

I think lately its become important for singers to be good performers as well, its just a way to attract a different crowd of an audience and distinguish certain participants from others, however i dont think this should be a major factor as ultimitely, all that matters is what we'll be hearing. So I hope we are able to find new, good singers who will make our day when we listen to their voices 😊
