i have really given up on the so-called "mentors". earlier i used to like debo's singing but thought he would only suit in soft romantic numbers, but after hear dholi taro and the stylish "oh humdum suniyo re" i must say i am really bowled over!😃

Despite a systematic ploy to oust him from Zee TV's Sa-Re-Ga-Ma-Pa
singing competition, Debojit Saha, the only contestant representing the
North East, has qualified for the "mega final" by securing a record number
of votes. With his entry, there are now two contestants in the final, which
will be held shortly.

Debojit has received over 50 lakh votes from across the country while the
two other contestants – Vinit and Hemachandra – have bagged 45 lakh
and 32 lakh votes respectively. As per the rules of the competition,
Hemachandra, representing Hyderabad, is out of the competition.

" I'm extremely happy with the results and it has been possible due to the
support of the people of my State. During the seven month-long
competition, I've received an overwhelming response from my State", an
elated Debojit told this correspondent over telephone. Debojit is now in
Delhi to perform a special programme of Zee TV after which he will
perform in a series of shows in different parts in the country.

It was a tough competition for Debojit as a section people had launched a
campaign against him in the name of ULFA to keep the people away from
voting in his favour. But in spite of that, he maintained his composure
and put up a brave front. "I had to endure criticism from different
quarters, but the people of my State and my guru Ismail Darbar gave me a
lot of support to overcome all these hurdles," he added.

Upbeat with the results, Ismail Darbar, Debojit's mentor, has hailed the
people of Assam for extending unstinted support to Debojit. He also
appealed to the people to keep the momentum going.

Meanwhile, the ULFA has denied any involvement in the Sa-Re-Ga-Ma-Pa.
In an e-mail message, the publicity wing of the organisation said that it
was a false propaganda.

After reading forum, I was thinking there are very few Debo's fan..But looking at ur new topics, I feel I was wrong.. there are many.. good work..
I like Debo's singing..Last times his song.."o humdum " was excellent.
He is honest and genuine singer AND HARDWORKING TRUE.
I am happy that he is with ID. I am fan of ID. He is very nice human being so Debo is. God bless ID and Debojit. This time we shud not do any ignorance from our side. Give maximum votes to debo. Now this time
He shud get vote not only from NE from all over india.
