(A report from a Debojit fan who travelled 700Kms to meet Debojit)

The moment when Debojit Saha landed on the soil of Guwahati at the Borjhar (Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi ) airport, it seemed like the king has arrived at his capital , people from all aspects and parts of life were crowding outside the airport to get a glimpse of their hero .. their boy.. their representative .. DEBOJIT !!

Then began the coronation ceremony of the king, I mean he was almost clothed from head to toe with the gift of ASOMIYA GAMOCHA, atleast a 1000 gamochas were offered to him as a token of people's love at the airport itself and Debojit could sense the craze and liking amongst people regarding him. He has had such a mass appeal that he has united peple across party lines regional barriers and linguistic differences with his music, because music has no boundaries no limits and he has once again proved that UNITED WE
STAND for a cause …..

If you have seen the episode on the 9th, then you can see that how versatile of a singer debu is. He sang 3 types of songs. his projection is much better as compared to vinit. if you observe, vinit kinda shout when he tries to go high. He probably learned that from his mentor. only he can shout and cry like a puppy dog(oooooh). 😆 😆 i think if vinit was in ID's gharana he would have been a better person and a singer like debu. Vinit cannot be compared to sonugi because he doesn't have that softness that sonu has.

I totally agree with you. I have been watching Debu since Fame 2005. He is extermely flexible singer.

I do not understand why everyone is giving Debojit such a hard time. Between the two singers Vinit and Debojit---Debu is the best. I remember the show when Pandit Jasraj-ji selected Debojit as the first male contestant and he said that he is the best. Specially, the bengali raag pradhan he sang (Ghum Ashe na originally sang by Pt. Ajay Chakravorty), it still rings in my ear. Debu sang the most tough song the day when Ismail-ji left the show, still he got low points.

Also "Ek Hasina Thi" The way Debu sang it was out of the world. I taped it Already I have listened to it numerous times.

At this point no matter who wins in our (viewre's)eyes Debojit is the 2005 challange winner. Also, Pandit Jasraj-ji's choice CAN NEVER GO WRONG.

Good Luck to Debu and Bandana. It alawys brings tears in my eyes when I see dedication in Bandana's eyes.
