simtara, agree with u on all points except last.

personally, i watch the show 4 entertainment. i think anyone who thinks that shows like these will end up selecting the "best" singer (whatever that is) is being very naive'.

n in any case, y listen to good singing on the idiot box? get a good music system, n enjoy music when u wan to on a good system. when u watch TV singers, u're no longer just listening. the bigger part of wat u're perceiving is the visuals. u can have a judge on stage, pt jasraj or whoever, n they'll also get swayed subconsciously by the "body lang".
