Guys did you notice Nihira is the only contestant who got playback singing offer from Shankar Ehsaan Loy My point here is no other contestant got playback singing offers from any other music director who is not associated with SRGMP. There are few surprises like Vineet got offes from only HR (Do not take it as an offence) But according to me no one among mentors of SRGMP is hot in Bollywood for good music Few people will claim HR is popular by saying he has 10 pictures coming but how many are going to rule box office (maybe 1-2 songs from those 10 movies) Thats what makes Rehman and Co. diffeent from these egoistic people (except ID and maybe JL) Interestingly after seeing SRGMP I came to know why AS is not successful and how a person changes his behaviour after some success (HR after ABA)😳

Your views?

While I do like Aadeshji's work, I think currently AS is walking a tightrope between trying to make good music yet cater to the current tastes.
HR is popular as his music is riding the current tide of peppy, beat oriented music. But is his music truly what will go on to be a classic? I don't think so.( Just like Anu Malik)

That way I appreciate ID -- he does not follow the norms of fad music but instead his work in Hum dil de chuke sanam and Devdas speak volumes of what music was and should be.

Yes, Indian MUSIC is not a shortt-time play meant for Boys lucrative on western bangs, we Indian follow classical songs truelly sung by 'genuine' singers like Lata, Asha, Kavita, and someone exceptional like Nihira or may be Swananda. Rest... you know whay they call 'singing' is none other than our entertainment of short time!
May God bless them with some 'music'.
