Kishore Kumar was Bengali. He was an art of India.
Amit Kumar was Bengali and he was a voice of India.
Mohammed Aziz was Bengali and was loved by India at one point.
Panchamda was Bengali. He was a voice and music of India.
Sachinda Burman was Bengali. He was a voice and music of India.
Hemantda Mukhopadhyoy was Bengali. He was too was a voice and music of India.
Kumar Sanu is Bengali. He was a voice of India.
Abhijit and Babul Supriyo are Bengali. Voices of India as well.
Heck, even the host, Shaan (Shantanu Mukherjee) is Bengali!
I am just referring to Bengali artists.
Let's not forget the other parts of India that have contributed much to the music field. South India with S.P. Balasubramaniam, Hariharan, Yesudas, Srinivas, A.R. Rehman, Chitra. From Punjab, we have Mohammed Rafi, Anwar, Shahid Rafi, Anand Raj Anand, Sonu Nigam, Daler Mehndi, Sukhwinder Singh. From Gujarat, Ismail Darbar, Kalyanji Anandji, Shabbir Kumar, Purshottam Upadhyay, Karsan Sagathiya, and Nitin Mukesh. From Maharashtra, we have Lata Mangeshakar, Usha Mangeshkar, Meena Mangeshkar, Pt. Hrdayanath Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Suresh Wadkar, and Mukesh to name a few.
My point? All of these artists contributed to Indian film music in some way or another. They all have contributed to the tastes of India and collectively helped to become, create, and support India ki voices!
Let's not forget our national anthem!
punjab sindh gujarat maratha dravida utkala banga
vindhya himachala jamuna ganga ucchala jaladhi tiranga
Whether they are all at one part of India or another part, they are still India!
After Rafi-saab passed away in 1980, there was a song that was released after his death.
"mere desh premiyon aapas mein prem karo desh premiyo!"
Jai Hind! Jai Ho!
Excellent!! 👏👏👏 I wish some one could get that lady who was screaming on sets abt assam ki voice and india ki voice, AS and HR to read this post.
Guys please....😳
this comparison is way too big: I do not even think Himeshji would compare himself to Kishore da.
guys chill down...i dont think even himesh will tell this....as a a part of the interview he himself accepted that i will sing less and focus on composition...he is too clever to say these things...believe me he is two steps ahead from our thinking..he can manipulate things at his own will......but i liked the way he said, i learnt music and singing from my father , by which he meant to say i can sing...what a joke......
