Ayesha-Ghai in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa

Priyanka Chopra flew down from Delhi to specially join the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa team to record their Republic Day special. "It was exhausting," Chopra concedes. "But it was worth the effort. I've been a Sa Re Ga Ma Pa fan ever since I can remember. In fact my dad (who likes to sing) and I were on the Baap-Beti special of the show. So when I was invited to be on the show I couldn't refuse. I rushed from Delhi on Monday afternoon and went straight from the airport for the recording." Priyanka had as much fun listening to the contestants as they had having her around.

She says, "They were very good! I was supposed to select my favourite amongst them but I just couldn't bring myself to do so. I quietly wrote down one name and gave it to Gajendra Singh for future reference…I'm surprised at the amount of singing talent in this country. Since I'm fond of singing myself I felt so happy being with these truly gifted boys and girls."

Republic Day special featured patriotic songs request by some members of the army and the navy. Priyanka Chopra has an army background. It has played a part in her growing up, as transfers were part of her life. Her parents have both been on SaReGaMaPa (senior citizens episode) Her father was a very popular contestant and he won the competition.Hema Chandra's performance - Hema Chandra sang 'Dil diya hai' from Karma in the army round. He forgot a few words.

Priyanka: You sang really well, even though you forgot a few, 'm sure u'll make up in the next song. He sang Maa Tujhe Salaam' – A.R Rahman for the navy round

Priyanka: This was a very difficult song and you sang it really well. After this, all mistakes are forgiven. You very well covered up for the last me.

Priyanka Chopra liked both Vinit and Debojir's performances as well. Priyanka asked Vinit about his cap funda. She asked if he wears coz his mentor wears it.

Himesh: The cap is lucky for him and the first time he met the girl he loves also has a connection with the cap.

Priyanka to Vinit: put a lot of soul into the song

Himesh asked Vinit to promise that when he's a big star and he is asked to do something for the country, he would do it free of cost.

For the closing, Shaan invites Priyaka on stage and asks her to sing. She said she does not think she is fit to sing in front of such good singers. She said she would like to ask two people to come and sing. –Himnai and Nihira.

She said she liked both Nihira and Himani because of girl power. Based on the episodes she has seen, , she is Himani's fan. She also said she hopes that both Nihira and Himani sing for her some day. Himani and Nihira end the episode with 'Ai Mere Watan Ke Logon'.
