In fact, I suspect the voters from Bombay and Delhi probably have more
discretionary income to blow on repeat smsing, better access to phones
and phone lines than ppl up in the NE. Given all these disadvantages
Debo has, if he is able to attract such faithful fans as his, then more
power to him.

The minute you put a decision about singing talent in the hands of the
general public, it automatically becomes, to some extent, a popularity
contest. Some degree of voting without attention to the quality of the
singing will be par for the course.

And, although I have found myself disagreeing with the public vote on
occassions in this competition the fact is that *even when they had
judges*, I would find myself disagreeing with their verdict at times.
Judges can have biases too, after all. I mean Alka Yagnik red-carded
singers coz they didn't keep their eyes closed while singing fer
chrissakes!

In the end, there is no way to guarantee an absolutely fair result for the
simple reason that life isn't always fair. We'll never know how many
prodigies were turned away at the audition stage itself!

Given the above, your braying and whining about Debo and the NE just
sounds kinda silly... not to mention discriminatory, arrogant and
downright obnoxious.

There is this one guy called sanjeev who itseems has developed a utility that keeps doing an internet voting continuosly. Here this guy "loraku" claims that he has voted 25000 votes in one single night through the Internet.

I am so sick of people talking about regional bias vis a vis Debo. I am
seriously starting to feel like some people in this forum think that people
from the NE are psuedo Indians. Just like there were those people who
made racist comments on Hema. I wish people would stop it and stick to
analyzing the singing.

MODS -- Why are these topics being allowed? As far as I know, Debo nor
Assam broke any rules and now that some people want a different result,
these issues are bring brought up. This is wrong and really has changed the
tone of this forum. I will keep posting this in every topic like this I notice. I
did not like this bias against Chandu and I don't like this against Debo. It
has nothing to do with music.
