the capable candidates!!!

The last 2 weeks have seen lot of upheaval in the popular program which culminated in the 3 contestants threatening a walkout (sick!!!). It is clear that they have been unable to bear the publ;ic adulation at such a young age. Little do they realise that all their gains would be lost if the same public booed them on the stage shows or refuses to buy their records tomorrow..... both essential to their continuing future success.

Have their teachers/parents not taught them certain things?

1. The essence of any competition is in participation not in winning alone.

2.Whatever the result of this competetion they have already made enough impression on people who matter to be considered for stage shows/recordings on the merit they have shown over the past 7 months.

(It is interesting to note that the runner up of American IDOL is far more commercially successful than the winner)

3.If any of the 3ultimately wins this competetion the only iimmediate extra is the Mumbai flat. Their pleasure would be manifold if they own a flat with their merited income from future recordings/stage shows. (PLease confirm from Shreya Ghoshal and Kunal Ganjawala)

4.Vinit's arrogance (We know what we are singing....r u sure boy?? ) and HIMANI's foolishness (agar hum teenomese koi bahar ho jayega to kya justice hoga???...... would all 3 survive all the next rounds too?) are shameful. Even Kapil Dev would have been distressed!!!!!

In my humble personal musical opinion I see the following future success stories from SAREGAMAPA Challenge 2005.

1. Paresh..... Hot stage ARTIST IN UK

2. Swananda.... Adorable stage artist in UK

3. Twinkle Bajpai... Hot stage artist in Indian (she was also the most human in the final feeling for all fellow competetiors)

4. Nihira Joshi..... The ultimate success with great melodious voice, deep knowledge of ragas, unbelievable control over notes and deepest godfearing humility. She is destined to rule the music world in years to come.[B/]

Just wish the 3 had the humility to stand together and acnowledged & applauded Nihira to cite the reason for their withdrawal.

incidentally these were the participants who left the show with grace. All the others would find the going hard for them.... unless they learn to respect the PUBLIC.

ID walked out because AS and HR were unfair to Debo in giving less points. I admire ID for that. Vinit Hema and Himani walked out because one of them will loose to Debo. That is hardly a reason. The public voting format was known to all the participants when they started. Now suddenly they want to protest the same format when one of them has to go out. They did not have the slightest courtesy to apologise to the public (who has been voting for them all along). Only Himani said she was sorry. Hema and Vinit (pura confidence hai he says) did not say they were sorry. Their Moms had to say sorry on their behalf. Real bad behaviour.

Well, I guess if they feel too much 'ghutan' to sing, they shouldn't expect
anyone to vote for them either!

Better still, they may as well make way for any of the scores of other
potential contenders that *don't* feel said 'ghutan', yes?

Don't even begin to compare Ismail Darbar to 3 teenage nobodies...
SRGMP doesn't need the walkers - they *need* the show. Whereas for ID,
it's the other way round. ID doesn't need SRGMP. He's made it - he can
afford to walk away...

The height of hubris as that those 3 nobodies think they can afford to do
the same...
