I think these 12 were the best singers in this compettition though few of them were relatively unheard.

BOYS
1.SAPTAK ( HE WAS THE BEST WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT )
2.HEMACHANDRA
3.DEBOJIT
4.VINIT
5.SHARIB
6.NILADRI

GIRLS
1.NIHIRA
2.HIMANI
3.KEKA ( Even the judges declared a tie between RAKTIMA & KEKA )
3.RAKTIMA
5.UJJAINI
6.SANCHALI

Just singing/voice quality only
Nihira
Hema
Debojeet
Himani
Sharib
Vineet
Swananda
Ujjaini
Twinkle
Paresh
Rajeev
Raktima

If I had a choice to repick the final 12, Vishwas, Abhijeet and Sanchari would come in at 3,4,5 and rest of them would slide down

According to voice quality only

Boys:

1. Hemachandra (very unique and powerful)
2. Debo / sharib (both have very different voice)
3. Paresh (sometimes sounds pretty good)
4. Vinit (sometimes sounds pretty good)
5. Rajiv


Girls:

1. Nihira (all rounder)
2. Ujjaini/ Swananda (very melodious)
3. Twinkle/ Himani (both have similar type of voice)
4. Raktima (liked her singing towards the end)

Sorry if I want to rank all of them on voice quality,
then:

1. Nihira
2. Hemachandra
3. Sharib/ Debu
4. Ujjaini
5. Swananda
6. Twinkle
7. Himani
8. Raktima
9. Paresh
10.Vinit
11. Rajiv

Boys:

1. Hemachandra (excellent and consistant)
2. Vinit (Almost consistant; sometimes he sounds weird though!)
3. Debo/Sharib (very good, but not consistant)

Girls:
1. Nihira (absolutely no doubt-melody, versatility or consistancy)
2. Swananda (Melodious, reminds Asha-ji so much)
3. Himani (not consistant, but suits a specific group of songs like Richa)

I dont believe anyone else was as consistant/dependable as the above.

With good training/mentors, I feel Karunya and Meenal of Indian Idol could come close the top 6..
