i believe kapil dev was not crying over vinit's performance, he was getting emotional over the fact that young kids leave the home in such early life, he was probably getting nostalgic about something personally related. what do u say

Yes, you're right. But the article printed sometime last week made it seem like he was getting emotional over Vinit's performance. Kapil Dev said that its emotional when people leave home and that its for good sometimes. He was relating it to Vinit & the song he sang.

Kapil actually taunted or complimented Vinit saying you sare singing "main vaapas aaoonga...main vaapas aaoonga" but I dont think you will ever go back to Lucknow...

He remembered Tendulkar and the funny feeling they used to have when they saw people so young out to make a life of their own. He remembered how Sachin when he was young and was in England playing a test series during the day and sleeping with a book on his chest at night. That seemed an emotional touch...
