When effort is needed effort will appear, things happen by itself just like the child grows up to be a man. Our real self the awareness, never changes. It is only the self consciousness or the individual ego that realizes it's true nature, like waking up from a dream.

We should try to wake up from this dream of life.

Yes we have no choice in the matter. Duties and responsibilities have to be carried out, but at the back of our minds we should also know the truth.
