anyways...i have heard tht Rahul Vaidya was also there and came last in the finals.

Rahul Vaidya, 18, Indian Idol contestant

I was in higher secondary when I participated in Indian Idol. I was also learning singing at the Suresh Wadekar Institute. I did not complete my studies after Indian Idol because I was too tied up.

After the show, my life changed.

The Sony BMG contract was for stage shows and albums and Sony Television gives us money every three months.

I am 18 and I am earning more then Rs 10 lakh (Rs 1 million) per month.

Aditi Paul, 26, Indian Idol contestant

After the reality show, I started doing stage shows with Sony BMG. I have a two-year contract. I have finished my first year. After this, my actual struggle will start. I have started calling up music directors. I have still not sung for any movies, though I have sung for serials.

I charge Rs 100,000 for a show. I do at least four shows a month.

Rex D'souza, 24, Fame Gurukul contestant

I was doing stage shows with Johnny Lever and working at a call centre before I participated in Fame Gurukul. Now I am doing stage shows. Next month I am going to the US, UK and Canada with (Fame Gurukul winner) Qazi Tauqeer.

Sony Television gives me Rs 300,000 every three months. I also earn from the stage shows that we are doing. I earn about Rs 300,000 to Rs 400,000 every month. I have bought a new house and am also renovating my old house.

Sneha Pant has a sweet voice.
She has sung in quite a few movies, but has not perhaps been as successful as Shreya.

Both of them again participated in the SRGM Children's mega final in 1998 which was won by Sneha Pant.
