Round 3: Kunal Ganjawala

This is another nice track and superb sung by kunal.
His tonal quality, sweet voice, feel factor and high pitching was superb, though the lower notes could have been slightly more tighter. The tune was simple, melodious and perfectly gelled well with his singing. Superb clarity throughout, he makes a great impression.
But this track has two major drawbacks.
First, its the time. Things tend to get repetitive and test the patience of the listener. The voice is nice, OK, but it gets too boring and monotonous and you don't want to listen to it again. It also uncannily sounds pretty old. But what is confusing is whether is it a romantic track, or a sad track, or a mix of both, which need not be necessarily good.

Second, the mix of scale and energy. His energy and enthusiasm was clearly lacking and at some portions, his voice did sound a bit tiring. More scale variation in the middle at least could have lifted this track drastically. Bit that did not happen, and it got boring.

But the track does carry most of the good points that kunal is known for and he portrays here, but overall the cons taken into consideration, this is a neat performance, if not his best. Trimming off 1:30 minutes and scale variation by plus one in the middle could have made it close to perfect, but its not.

but i like the song feeling its too good track

Oh my gosh, this is one of my most favorite song of Shreya and Kunal (both Sa Re Ga Ma Pa contestants).

Love the starting music of the song. You can almost predict its going to be a sweet and soulful song. Kunal ji's pickup was very nicely done as well. For the most part Kunal ji maintained his voice very well. In certain places I felt Shreya ji overshadowed. But both of them complimented each other very well. But brillianty executed by both.

Great singing by Kunal Ganjawala!


Very great feel, and nice hold on many of his notes. And once again, a great display of singing ability. I'd say he is one of the most talented singers we've had in the past 2 decades.

He sang great here. Besides from a little problem in his high notes, Kunal was just excellent. The soft singing he did in many places was also very good.


Overall, great singing.

Nice song! I like it! :)

Its good to see Kunal in a different persona in this song, then the usual peppy, up-beat songs which he sings.. He proves that he can sing slow songs with soul too.. In places, I felt that the throw of his voice could have been more stronger, that would have enhanced it.. Shreya adds beauty as usual, on a comparative level, she gave a great deal of feel to her singing than Kunal.. There was strain in Kunal's voice in places, it wasn't smooth running.. Overall, a pleasant effort..

My score would have been 7.5.. will stick to 7 out of 10..

Hmmm, didn't like Kunal ji's singing here...
