If I went back to 1994-5, this track would still be typical, my kind of a simple track. But competition is tough and comparisons are inevitable, so does the time frame.

Simplicity and back to basics are always welcome, but too much of it and the track can become monotonous, just like this one.
The singing is fabulous, abhijeet's voice is very natural sounding and well pitched, but in today's times, tracks like these come and go, and you wonder what went by just now.
The major drawback of this track is complete flat singing and too much simplicity. Of course, granted its an old school movie but the tune uncannily resembles the 80s. Not necessarily a good thing.
secondly, perhaps other than the superb voice quality and nice natural expressions aside, there is nothing remotely unique in this song that can make abhijeet stand out, especially compared to other singers. The tempo is again, flat and it leaves no scope for voice modulation, which is another drawback of his singing.

The track is nice, yes and will please most and offend none, but utterly forgettable for a long run. It comes, and goes, and we still wonder that a song just went by. Not necessarily good.

Never heard this song before... I'd advise any listener to skip the first minute of the track.

I still say that udit is the only srk voice.

This is the first time I'm hearing this song. It is quite an interesting track to be honest.

Getting down to the singing, Abhijeet has done a fabulous job. And his voice sounds so different with this song. He really has this sweetness to his voice. He brings in the right emotion to the song which makes it easy for any listener to connect with his voice. Only thing I think he could have brought more into the song was different variations where appropriate. Otherwise it was smooth and soulful singing by him! Its a really beautiful song and Abhijeet sung it really well in my opinion.

and chalte chalte! 😍 he was really good in "tauba tumhare yeh isshare", "chalte chalte", and "suno na suno na."

The track is very simple to the extent that it becomes a little boring. Abhijeet's voice is smooth; expressions are apt but the way of singing is not original unlike Abhijeet's later songs; the antara especially is quite like Kishore's duplicate version whereas the mukhda retains Abhijeet's original singing.
