A splendid song for Shaan!



I agree with others, this song is magical. One of my favorites as well. No surprise Shaan became a household name after this song.

Song was great. Shaan's singing was also great as it always is. There were many places where he got to show his talent. This song required emotional, yet strong and powerful singing, which Shaan delivered. Nonetheless, I'll say his voice isn't as polished as it is today. His voice and singing is just even smoother today than it was in 1998, he has gotten better.

Overall, great singing

Tanha Dil, a track whose lyrics immediately grab your attention, along with the soothing quality of the musical arrangement perfectly apt with the lyrics..

Coming to the singing part, yes Shaan's voice quality is the high-light of this song which suits perfectly well to the overall theme of this track.. His voice retains some magic despite of being hampered here and there.. Expressions are relatively good, he almost always tends to elongate or stress the last word of the line.. In a few places, I felt more power could be added.. A relatively simple song to sing, but never-the-less, it definitely makes you fall in love with its smooth trait..

I would like to give an 8 out of 10 to this performance..

Its one of my all time favorite from Shaan. One of the cutest voices of Bollywood.

Actually I love Shaan! 😳 😆

He was soooooooo good in this song and I can't beleive this is the first time I'm hearing this song! Shaan's voice is seriously to die for! 😆 maybe a few variations in his voice would have improved the singing quality but all in all he was just excellent!

Final rating: 8/10

Sweet tune, touching lyrics, this song should be very close to young and teenage hearts. Shaan sings it with feeling and care, does nothing significantly wrong. I like it.

But when it comes to appraisal of singing, I have to be objective. Here the song's difficulty level also comes into play, which is not too high in this case. And then it's not the kind of singing where there's no room for improvement.

I'm torn between 7 and 8.
