Raja Hasan kicks off Diwali celebrations in Singapore

Last time Raja Hasan was in Singapore for ZEE Carnival and performed with Shahrukh Khan and once more he performed in Singapore yesterday night. Here is a report from media:

Indian singer Raja Hasan kicked off Diwali celebrations with more than 600 Indian expatriates in Singapore amidst the hustle bustle of Halloween revellers in the city state.

Hasan who rose to fame as a contestant on the hit TV talent hunt'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa'in 2007, sang a repertoire of Hindi songs at the event organised by Indian Institute of Technology alumni.

"I have dedicated my life to singing and promoting Indian culture,"Hasan told media, just before taking to the stage at Fort Canning.

The 30-year-old singer is among the growing numbers of Indian singers and entertainers performing in Singapore, especially ahead of Diwali.

The singer who rose to fame from humble origins in Rajasthan, is among singing legends Mana De, Asha Bhosle, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan who have performed in Singapore in recent months.
