For those who dismiss Sniti singing "Sapno se bhare naina" badly, please check the following two links and tell me where she made mistake. One by Sniti and the other by the Maestro himself. Or is it that since the Maestro has sung the song so beautifully, others are destined to sing it badly.
To me Sniti's performance is one of the best renditions in the history of Sa re ga ma pa.

People might say that the judges maybe comparing Sniti to Shankar but this is not the case here. Of course no one can sing like him, he's just perfect. But Sniti wasn't bad either. Then again, she might have gone out of sur since it is a difficult composition.

So I don't agree when you say that "since the Maestro has sung the song so beautifully, others are destined to sing it badly." The sole reason is that it is just a very difficult composition and nothing more so a contestant is bound to go out of sur and that is what exactly happened with poor Sniti!

Vishal's exaggerated grimace and later his comments made it seem worse than it really was. I later listened to it again (and then once again) with my eyes closed. The slip was one-off and given the intricacy of the song, it was negligible. "Sapnon se bhare naina" was another outstanding performance by Sniti.

Sniti's "Jhoothe naina bole", to me, is one of the three greatest renditions in the history of SRGMP. (I'm not used to making impulsive hyperbolic comments)

PS: After her "Mora saiyaan", Vishal said something like "aapke sur gaye, kaafi gaye". MOORKH!

Top 18 had the golden opportunity to impress the judges into giving them breaks without worrying about voting.
If playback singing is what Sniti wants to do she should have used these weeks more wisely..Especially since she has already established herself as a top singer in the competition.
She should be singing ghazals, soft romantic or peppy numbers..let it be raga based..even if she faltered she would have been saved...
The judges know who the top 10 singers are..the weaker ones will be removed in a matter of time.
Had Sugandha sung her classical song when she had reached top 7 or 8 she would have reached finals with little effort.I am afraid she peaked too soon like Nihira. The shock and awe of the first time is difficult to recreate.
The boys have no strategy..some playing it safe others wasting popular hit numbers on the judges..
The judges looked bored this time..it reflects on the viewing public..

5 brilliant performances Sniti. That is consistency. 👏 👏

I want shankar mahadevan to come on this show before Sniti leaves , possibly a duet between them. what a treat that would be. Some one who can appreciate what she sings and knows exactly what more she is capable of.

Don't want to hear this arbit sur choote type of remarks. If Vishal felt so, he should have pointed out exactly kahan kahan sur choote.

I don't know whether she will get playback in bollywood, there are other 'woods' down south who will definitely appreciate her immense talent.

you go girl, real music lovers have immense respect for your talent. 👏 👏 👏

Ah I just love her accent. It is refreshing.
Do not know what lisp everyone keeps talking. But then whenever I listen I always see if I can connect with the singer and see if she has captured the spirit of the song.
