Thanx for sharing the interview. Shreya has a beautiful voice & a loveable personality. Even after getting such success at such a young age, she maintains her a simplicity, which is quite a rare quality to find.

One great thing I admire about Shreya, is not only her success in bollywood but also her work in the South specially in Tamil & Kannada. Before 2007 I didnt know much about Shreya though I knew her name. But when the movie sillunu oru kadhal released there was her song called Munbe vaa, which I consider is the best romantic tamil song ever. That time I didnt know who the girl singing was but I was totally in love with the beautiful & entralling voice, it really touched my heart. Infact Munbe vaa became very popular song. First I thought it some new tamil singer but later there was this Tamil Filmfare awards wherein I saw Shreya coming on stage as she won an award for munbe vaa, & that time I was really shocked that she didnt know Tamil. I mean she sounded so natural & perfect in the song, just mind blowing.

I have heard many bollywood singers who donot know tamil sing tamil songs but I cud easilly makeout, as they werent that good. But Shreya really surprised me. You must hear it atleast once.

Yaah I know tamil I am originally from chennai though I study in pune. I understand somewhat kannada also, shreyas songs in mussanje mathu have been really popular, she got a kannad filmfare for ninnadelentho, which is a duet with sonu, its another beautiful song.
