If members are only supposed to praise in 'Appreciation threads" for the respective judge/contestant, where are members supposed to post about healthy criticism?
Really curious to know what are the boundaries one is supposed to adhere to when it comes to posting in 'Appreciation Threads" 😳

I am not sure how the SRGMP forum defines appreciation.
However my perception:
If you get your house appreciated the estimator comes and evaluates your house. They will list all the good points like wood flooring, professional landscape, new roof etc as well as the bad points faded paint, outdated appliances, poor insulation. With that all they will come with a fair market value according to them.
Similarly when you appreciate music, painting, film or other art forms you evaluate the whole thing. You list the good points as well as the bad points, which in case of music will be positives or negatives on things like voice quality, performance, pitching, tune, harmony, stage usage, confidence etc. With that you come up with what is a fair assessment of the singer according to you. With arts appreciation you also often factor in subjective perspectives like historic significance, contemporary value, cultural aspects and view things in context of time, target audience etc. If you take a music or film appreciation class in school you will learn that 'constructive criticism' is part of the appreciation process.
You cannot appreciate something good, if you can't decide what is not good. It does not necessarily have to be bad per say, just not on par with your preferences or in the context you are viewing it.
