i want to tell u, as from kerala we all know manna dey very well as he only sang one song in malayalm and it was a big hit in that time(1975) and now also.even 10yrs old kids know which song mannadey had sung for us. we treated him very well and i said earlier it was a big hit inspite of all the dictions.

I am from Punjab and i heard that malayalam song and i love that!!! i m glad there are ppl who admire music irrespective of where the person who sings it com from, but am sad that the mentors are not being fair!!

Amit was from vizag, he is basically a telugu but his parents settled somewhere else!! and if he was from mumbai he would have been a winner!! he is far far better than Abhijeet sawant!! and now Karunya is from hyd. He gave auditions in Delhi and judges didnot have to say anything, but let me see if they praise him the same way they do others!!

If hemachandra goes out this time, its shame on SAREGAMAPA!!

As long as we have so called North Indian's for whom South India means Madras (unfortunately so called aducated elite sometime say this) ... and all South Indians wear Lungis and eat Sambhar things will never change ... You might want to blow trumpets declaring its not ... but it is so !

There is another South Indian (Karunya from Hyderabad) in the final 28 of this seasons Indian Idol ... I hope and HOPE atleast he gets a better deal there !!!

very well said! thank u. its tru dat music has no language or regions as som said. yet u cant turn a blind eye to wots goidg on in da show. wheneva judges talk about hema's diction or him singin liek SPB, it rritates me. diction is such an insignificant thing, especially in hem's case. jus cuz they cant find fault with wot he sang tht doesn't mean they nag him about his diction. i feel the judges hav always been biased towards him because hez a south indian. if they fail to recognize his talent well thats their loss and not hema's. hema will b successful even if he looses out on this competition

I agree that too many comments have been passed about Hema's diction. I
have noticed that Rajeev, Twinkle and others at various times have had
prononciation problems. Even my fav Debo had some weird prononciation
of kissi.

I am also begining to feel like that there is a bias against Hema -- it still
bugs me that they made him shave his mustache. He is really a talented
guy -- he shoudl be a top contender and not worry about these things.

kavitha krishnamurthy shankar mahadevan,vasundhara das, chitra ,rohini iyer are also southies. 😊
