What went wrong with Twinkle?

I had forgotten how well this girl could sing. People consider her rendition of "Daiyya yeh main kahan aa phasi" to be one of the best female performances in the competition. I was listening some early videos of Challenge 2005 at sifymax, and I came across this number by Twinkle…

Twinkle's singing sounds so sweet and melodious. Its hard to believe that this is the same singer that we've been watching and listening to in the last 6 weeks!! Both her appearance, singing and diction were so much more sincere and natural…

Now I understand what Ismail Darbar meant when he said he wants to see the same Twinkle that he brought from Lucknow.

I'm not a big fan of Twinkle… I'm a fan of GOOD music, and I just feel sad to see a promising singer self-destruct like this… She needs to re-prioritize and get back to good singing before concentrating on looks and performing.

well this week I did like her rendition of Rangeela Re...she seemed to b concentrating on singing rather than performing..n she was much much better!!

We haven't seen the 3rd round yet, here in the US... but its good to hear that Twinkle is getting back to her old form in singing... 😊

I have nothing against singers presenting themselves well... Its wonderful if they can look good too... but it shouldn't come at the expense of their singing.

Blame Zee for making it about performance and to some extent blame ID for
not reigning her in earlier. She is too young to blamed. The producers
manipulate her to make her look too sexy and concentrate too much on
performing. Music fans are nto interesting in Twinkle's gym routine -- we
all know who is. So the poor girl is tying to figure out how to win this
contest and with the producers making her wear these outfits and with the
public egging her on -- who can blame her. She has been expolited almost
as much as Rajeev. Her saving grace is that she is geniunly talented and can
make a career of music with or without this contest. Plus I think that ID may
help her.

Twinkle cannot be forced to be glamorous. She chose to be that way. It is
pity that she remains while others like sharib and raktima were kicked
out.

Well if only Rajeev would go back yesterday! The reason I think that
Rajeev has been exploited is because he is being the false hope that he is
ready to make a living as a singer. I know multiple wedding singers who
are far better than him.

As for Twinkle, she may not have been forced but she was pressure and
not given the proper guidance. She is still pretty young.

I agree with MDroy about Rajiv & Twinkle. Twinkle being ambitious she may get pressured or even emotionally swayed by all that glamour thinking that will help her career. Kids at that age are very impressionable & are not totally mature. Remeber majority of these contestants are under 18. They need proper guidance/coaching so they can make right decisions regarding their career. I think the changes Twinkle has brought in to her is hurting her more than helping. Same thing with Ujjaini. She was much better before this glamour & performance became important. Only level headed people can survive the celebrity/media pressures. I really feel sorry for some of these kids who are mislead to believe that they are really great and will have fantastic career as play singers just because they are winning by voting measure and surviving. My opinion only & I could be wrong. WHo knows!!
