this forum keeps me going through hard days...i thought i would not post anything but i have to take a stand here. First lets stop blasting Paresh..the boy works hard and not being fluent in hindi should not be a topic, i think this is as far as he reaches although he has fans in the and from UK. Second, the biggest stuntman is Debojit for coercing the crowds and mentors by saying that phonelines were jammed..so how did assam tell him this..by smoke signals? Vinit is phenomenal and so is Himani, Hema and Nihira. Ujjaini..tata beta..abhi ghar jake rona!!too many sour grapes

Ok. I am here again folks whether you like it or not 😛 we need a critical eye too ..a murder board ..brings out quality. what is this thing about Paresh not being able to speak. What is this guys? What is this thing about Hindi? Is it the defacto language for music and singing? what about that Punjabi that the participants were forced to sing? is india made of 2 languages? or three? Why you keep forgetting the fact that (which I already wrote) some singers like mohd Rafi, Udit narayan etc. singfor south and still appreciated? Don't you keep knowledge of whats happening in the world? or think that what you know is world? Is it pride, ignorance or arrogance?

Who is this praising Vinit's like he is the swarabrahma? He is a good singer. But he is winning more votes due to his and HR's love story ..I mena err ..oops love story that is being publicized by HR. Did you guys ever notice the street behaviour of Vinit? Discipline and good manners are part of good education and music ok?? Someone always talks about his love and this guy puts both his hands on his head and falls down. He is being given the feeling thathe has already WON. if it is so why this BS of a show? And it was so nice to hear someone speak about how HR is treating his other participants like step children. Great buddy. Good observation and comment. what is this obsession about Vinit? Kahin aisa to nahin ki HR apne koi relative ki shadi is se karwa raha ho aur isliye promote kar raha ho? soch ne waali baat hai yaar. 😭

Very true criticaleye....I loved it when Rakhtima described Vinit as indisciplined...it comes across so well on the show...being mischevious and funny is diff but this guy is so indisciplined...but his singing is good..at this stage when all of them r more or less in same range as singers, i guess public looks at their overall personality n votes...

and yes...language shudnt be a barrier in deciding who is the deserving...

Yes you are 200% right . But public can be easily fooled by the stunt of HR and vinit. That is pathetic. and feel pity for them.

I agree with you when you say that paresh should not be gauged by his hindi prowess in speaking. I would say, he or everybody else should be evaluated on the basis of his diction while singing. If the diction is alright while singing he should be let through, even if he keeps giving interviews in english later on, same as our most bollywood personalities (for somewhat similar reasons as paresh) do. It is everybody's guess whether his diction (or even surs) is up to the mark or not.

For me, he should be out long before.

There are other things that I simply hate and one being:'My being here and return to India is dependent on your votes'. Comeon man! Show the true love for your country (if you know which is it anyway), which should anyway be more than your love for music or london or whatever...... Had you (or your forefathers whoever) loved India you should have been here only. A lighter way could have been your introduction as leaving everything behind and jumping on to the SRGMPC stage on the first day. It is too late now. Maybe for the next contest......

I am satisfied that others too are speaking the same language regarding vinit, I thought would end up as a harsh attack on an underaged...as they say, truth is often harsh......no regrets....😊

I am really really confused...
I thought SRGMP 05 is about finding new Playback singers.
But at this moment the challenge seems to be looking for a great love story, UK viewership and a nice looking face/body. It also feels that this forum falls for the same.

I personally think Vinit has a decent voice and will be a playback singer in Bollywood (But then even Kumar Sonu was successful in Bollywood, right?). He has a typical voice, nothing exceptional about him - especially the way he is hyped (is annoying)... He has given one or two excellent performances but then every one the challengers have as well.

In the last (end of the year) episode, Vinit attempted Aashiq Banaya Aapne in the beginning. His performance was totally flat and boring. I couldn't stop thinking about my all time favorite,,Sharib, who had sung the same song few weeks back. In fact he (Sharib) even overshadowed Mr. HR during that performance. Overall, I feel Vinit has been hyped - first with the CAP tactics and now with the shameful love episodes. I cannot stop wondering - what will be the next?.

In my opinion, Hema has really very different voice and singing style. His deep voice touches me everytime. But I feel (sadly) he is going to go becauses of the stupid Public voting system. I think then Debu has improved a lot and can fit the traditional bollywood playback singer bill.

Himani is good. Her rustic voice sounds good for certain songs, but she surely lacks the wonderful breath control that Nihira shows in her every performance. And again, if this is a challenge to find a Playback Singer, who cares if Nihira doesn't show any emotions or shake her body. She has shown over and over again that she can sing well. I don't think Lataji or Asha-ji have ever danced while singing. And yes, one needs complete dedication to be the Best. It is the years and years od practice and training that has helped Lataji and Ashaji to be favorites for so many years.

Personally I would be happy if either Nihira or Himani (in that order) go all the way. In boys, I would love to see Hema or Debu go all the way.

Frankly the competition has reached a stage where all the challengers are extremely good and it is just fun to watch them perform. I wish the middle mentor falls sick or disappers though.

May the challenge bring music to our ear (without dirty politics)

I have felt Hema's true merits have never been exposed mainly due to the song selection. The songs he has picked till now are more or less similar. We all agree he has this soulful voice and with his classical back ground and the harkats he adds..he is impressive. But over a span of a few weeks, the song selection seems more or less same.. soft , melodious and relatively simple numbers.
On the other hand Himani and Nihira.. more so Himani I should say have put on a rich variety of selection and executed them almost perfectly.
I wish Hema would experiment a little.
