Midnight, some knowledge ( errr well its coming from me so i dont know if its knowledge or err just experience 😆)....


-- Two types of Eid...one is called the chooti Eid, the other Badi Eid.

- i think ( please correct if i am wrong , i dont much about my own religion, i am a disgrace 😆)..anyways i think this one is the chooti eid....We fast for a month from sunrise to sunset ( the day and times differ each year, we have a calender that we follow 😆)...anyways fasting is no big deal...once the fast breaks ( its called Aaftari time) we stuff ourselves with delicious food etc, i know its not the right way of doing it but everyone does that 😆...pray+ read the Quran ( holy book) etc and just try feel more spiritual...other things one must not do when fasting is, backbiting, swearing, arguing, flirting etc etc...so its not just about not eating and drinking...one tries to improve himself/herself into a better person.

oh i forgot, we wake up early in the morning to have breakfast to prepare ourselves for the next day. I love Ramadhan, its like one month different from others...one must that i actually pray ( sorry God, please forgive me, i would try to pray more often to you, though you know i love you regardless)

Once 30 days is over its party time...now chooti Eid is only for a day....


Badi Eid, is when you sacrifice a cow...that lasts for around 3 days.

Basic info for you..their is alot more into it...maybe others can help and add, increase my own knowledge too. 😆

Edit - Fasting is not very outta the world 😆😆...My best gori friends does it with me too, mind you she does every fasting....ive done lent before too....err i think i should sacrifice coke in lent , grr thats close to impossible for me 😆....In Hinduism, married women fast for a day dont they? Karva chaut? i know some single girl that do that too 😆...anyways, i think fasting is in every religion...Ramadhan, Lent for a month...karva chaut ( and many other fasts) in Hinduism too ..so the purpose is the same for everyone..to feel spiritual, to feel closer to God 😊

So basically, fasting is nothing hard...its a simple stuff, to learn to live simple and to avoid luxury of life..to care and think for the less fortunate ones...great one month experience!!!!!! 😃

@bolded: i never said that fasting in particular sounds out of the world to me. I said that all the rituals that you guys follow during the period of Eid....applyin henna, reading Quoran, praying at a certain time and stuff like that....they're unfamiliar to me....i'm sorry if i sounded too ignorant to be true...We don't celebrate Karvachaut....coz i'm not from india.....i thought u knew that...but i do know what it means as i've watched how they celebrate it in a bunch of bolly movies.....somehow i haven't watched any movie with people celebrating Eid...we don't have to learn that in high school either and some of my muslim friends...they don't even celebrate Eid..(a disgrace u might consider them..lolz)....their mom n dad do though...still i had never tried to find out what it's all about.......we have a festival called "Teej" which was like a week or two long ago...that's when women fast for a day for the long life of their husbands..and unmarried girls fast too...but i don't believe in it....so, i don't do that...coz we have the choice to follow them when we want to and not follow them when we don't want to. And it's not considered disgrace at all. But we do visit temples feel closer to God on that day.
