First of all Priyanka's performance was not worst at all. She went very low and was not audible at one point otherwise she was very very good throughout the song. Channel wanted to sensetionalize the Priyanka's elimination so that WC will grab attention as well as vote and that is for benefit of the show. I hope her parents take out her from WC, and defeat the channel intention, Priyanka has time on her side to grow as a singer can compete in other competition. They are playing same card which they played with Raja Hasan in C07. First they kept him stand by, then brought him and eliminated after brilliant performance so that he would go WC for vote. And imagine the best singer coming out of any reality show in last 6-7 years was not even part of 30 contestants chosen by a show but was stand by. This is how they play game. And Sumedha was also stand by who reached top 5 and she was best among girl. This is a game of reality show.

2) She was not shouting unlike Alka told . This song(or any other folk kind song) will lose its charm if not sung with an open voice. Also, the song goes from Mandra saptak at 'Dil hum hum' to Tar saptak at 'O mori chandrama'. If Alka or Sadhana sargam would hv sang it, it would not hv sounded good because they use falsetto at higher notes unlike Lata who always uses her original voice. This girl Priyanka never uses falsetto unlike her close counterpart and Alka's fave Shreyasi who always uses her artificial voice and not her original voice (although I admit she is one of the best singers in the competition). And again, today suddenly she started to sound nasal to Alka??? When Alka brought her into the show, she praised her voice saying she has got a very different kind of voice which is especially suitable for folk music. She knew her voice quality very well from the day of audition. And now the same voice appears to be nasal???

3) Why they keep changing the rules again and again?? When Yasodhan was eliminated after an excellent performance, they said 'You didn't sing gud yesterday' and considered both Friday and Saturday's performance for judging then why did they eliminate Priyanka only considering saturday's performance??

4) Why were Parents asked? If they wanted to take opinion, they shd hv asked for the opinion of the audience also. And also, after they said all the negative things about only one contestant, anyone present there who is not a music expert would definitely rely on their opinion as they are big names in Music industry. So what is the use of all that tamasha???

I wasn't trying to single out Aamir. The point is is that no one wants their kid to be out, and probably would have had the same reaction had any of the other parents eliminated their kid. A lot of the parents console their kids...and you know, I'm sure Aamir's family would have if he had been getting consistently low votes and that they didn't have the no elimination episode to blame it on. None of the other parents had anything to blame it on and were kind of expecting their kid's elimination. My point is, all of these parents were trying to act so innocent, but we all know what their reaction would have been had one of their kids been eliminated from that. Even Abhijeet and Ismail themselves react over the contestants...who aren't their own kids.
