Liked the song, but i would have preferred that she sang an arabic song coz of arabic theme and being arabic herself.

She is not the best singer but I enjoy her performances.
It was quite fun n comical.
Also liked Pratibha's "Taare hai barate"
Vaishali's "Nimooda"
Sara Khan's clear voice "Marsallah"
Debo's explosive songs
Ah it is endless.

Thanks Baz. lovely n fun selections.
I expect ROA to wonder why u like her so much again.
😆
Perhaps sweet muffin is lost for words.
This year even the other top contestants were not that fantastic as in 2007 (Aneek, Amanat, Raja, Poonam) For ROA Mauli as well.
I think even 2005 was better. Of course not the 2005 winner, but Nihira, Vinit n Hemu n Himani.

Baz i'll tell you right here what it was like k?
Well first of all, it was AMAZING!! the hotel was absolutely gorgeous where the gala was, got there late and the stupid garage was full so had to park a block away lol but the good thing was that parking garage had a direct long hallway type thing that went into the lobby of the hotel.
Got there, met my co-workers and took tons of pictures (like the one in the av lol) and since my company was one of the corporate sponsors at the event, we were a part of the private VIP reception before the gala started for everyone.
At the private reception met tons of military folks all the way from 1st Sgts to Generals. Met members of the FBI and CIA and some very prominent business people from the Arab community.
Then we were all asked to go to the ballroom so the gala could start, and we were the second table from the front and had great view of the stage.
People came, did their speeches etc. and then it was time for Obama to come and give his speech. He was introduced by the Secretary of Transportation as he is Arab too and then he came and gave a speech and while he was being introduced, the secret service came and took all of our cameras as he was going to do a meet and greet after his speech.
But once his speech was over and he met half the people on the first table, something happened and they took him out the back door and he was gone and then we all got our cameras back 10 minutes later :(
So everyone (myself included) was very disappointed as we did not get a chance to greet him and shake hands but we were glad we got to see him from so close and listen to him because though i've heard him on TV a gazillion times, the feeling of seeing him up close and personal is totally indescribeable. He is so charasmatic and so funny!! He has this aura about him which just makes you like him right away.
So all in all a good night with good food, great company, a few minutes of obama and lots of great new people!!
:)
