hmmm... not for kk, sonu and shaan, tho..

sure u will confuse benny dayal/javed ali/rashid ali with sonu or kk but i dont care abt them... they're diluted versions of them anyway

but shaan there's no copy yet i think

Shaan is not a soulful singer. His voice is a pleasant one though.

not with Sonu or KK but with each other I guess...although I recognize voices easily so I can identify them.
the most distinctive voice is Udit. I don't think anyone could confuse his voice with anyone else's

i confused that indian idol 2 guy's voice with udit's

the first 3 were rafi, kishore and mukesh:
rafi - Aziz,Shabbir,Sonu(shailendra and udit are in his gharana but have more orignal voices)
kishore - sanu and babul and amit kumar(shaan and kk and abhijeet dont sound enough like him but they are in his gharana)
mukesh - i forgot his name.. he was the best clone imo

Yah, his voice resembles Mukesh and Nitin Mukesh (Mukesh's son) also sounded the same though he lacked the power to touch hearts which Mukesh had.

When the stereo sound first came out,ppl felt that Rafi's voice would not be as compatible to it as other singers'. How wrong they were. his songs for the late 70's to 80's confirms that the master's voice was made for all seasons. His voice remains immortal. Music is half dead without him.

but anyway sticking to the topic yes surkilla mukesh had aatma which manhar lacks.

Yes, they were inspired by Sehgal, I think Dil jalta hai tau jalne de is sung by Mukesh but I might be wrong.
I like Kishore da a lot but in todays singers Udit is the one I like the most - listen to E ajnabi, wonder anyone can sing that song like he did.
