I think West Bengal and Maharashtra are two very competitve states. You have to be some thing to win the competition there. So many singers have come from these two states. The winners frim these two regions already have a good base and they are good singers. Zee would like at least their winners have some quality and get them some revenues .Whoever wins amnong the three, doesn't matter.All three have their strenghths and weaknesses.

Besides W. Bengal and Maharashtra Southern states have great talent and fantastic classical training base....But it is not recognized or appreciated by these shows....We saw that in C-05, II 2 and VOI 2...

During C-05 Nihira Joshi was the best of the lot she still did not win with the same Maharashtra state if one thinks it is competitive and voting bank state...I disagreee...

It all depends upon How the Zee viewership in these regions. I think the Zee has the maximum viewership in the east followed by west/north. They don't have much viewership in the south. So despite good singers in that region, it doesnot pay much attention to that region. It is more of buisness-musical than just musical..

People keep talking about West bengal voting bank. I like to know where did you get your information from. Is this coming from the t.v. channels? I really am curious to know if there is really such a thing. I keep asking my friends and family about voting for these contestants . They all say what are you talking about! They don't even bother to vote, a lot of them don't even watch the hindi channels. There may be some who vote but it does cost money and very few have that kind of money to spend on voting. So please some of you need to come up with some kind of evidence. A lot of you make it sound like without talent these bengali contestants are winning just because of the bengal voting bank. I am just curious and like to know the truth.
