Sonu Nigam is not getting the blockbuster songs

There is no doubt that Sonu Nigam is the best singer of India. But nowadays he is not getting the best compositions of music directors. Like....

1) Tu hi meri dost (Film Yuvraaj)

2) Guzarish (Gajini, Sonu is only a guest vocal in this song)

3) Haule Haule (Rab de bana di jodi) etc...

These are the most beautiful songs of this year. But Sonu didn't get those songs....

Sonu is singing very less. Though he has sung in Yuvraaj, he did not get the best song i.e. tu hi meri dost. Similarly for Rab ne bana di jodi, Haule Haule seems to be the best. Also Tujh main rab dikhta hain is good. But Sonu didn't get that song. I am a big fan of Sonu ans wants Sonu to get the best of compositions from MD's.

Are the Music directors neglecting him? Please comment.

Hmm, I'm also a big Sonu Nigam fan. I understand where you're coming from, it is true that he's not on the top list in these upcoming movies. For some reason though, I have a hard time believing that its the MDs that are neglecting him. I don't think Sonu Nigam is someone who can be neglected. Perhaps, its his own choice that he's not singing as many songs now as he did in the past? As an actor grows, he becomes picky with the kinds of movies he does, I think the same applies to singers, now that Sonu Nigam has developed so much as a singer, perhaps he is wanting to be selective and choose his songs carefully. As far as the songs go that you have mentioned, I think that those songs are beautiful and the singers that have sung them have done full justice to them. A lot of people made a big deal when Sonu Nigam only sang one song in Farah Khan's OSO, but despite all the media speculation, Sonu Nigam said that he did not mind that he was not given more songs. And Farah Khan also said that she wanted to give the music of OSO variety. I don't know, I again will say that I don't think is Sonu Nigam is someone who can't be neglected.

I read in an article that Sonu Nigam wants to retire from singing....hop3 dat's not true....if it is....then it's really sad😭...

good topic and nice analysis :-

- the first thoery is abundance of talent everywhere , MDs are not stuck to sonu or udit or anybody else

they can experiment and they are getting the same results

hats off to A R Rehman for breaking the jinx and giving the best with newcomers

- next theory applies to all fields not only singing , if i can get my work done with less experianced person

and paying less - why shud i pay more and also hear to the tantrums

in short ppl prefer less expensive labor

- last but not the least so many of sonu voice alike , he must be baffled himself

all singers seems replaceable nowadays , however i feel KK still rules in his sad genre

oh no really😲 which article?i remember once in an interview he said """dil chahta hai sub kuch chor kar bhaag jaaoon'''''''.he was mentally upset those days but i dunno wen did he decided to quit singing not fair😭😭😭

Thanks mate for your analysis. Yeah, I read a lot of articles where Sonu mentioned that he is cutting down his songs and has become selective. That's where I am coming from. As he has become chossy, so how wonderful it would have been if he would have sung those blockbusters of this year. He could have won the filmfare awards this time. I think Sonu got the filmfare award last for Kal ho na ho.....it's really a long time yaar that he has not got filmfare award for bollywood.

Sonu nigam has sung one of the best songs of this year which is Hawa Sun Hawa from Ada (I really feel peaceful listening to the song, very beautiful)....We can't blame the MD's for not giving blockbuster songs to him because they themselves don't know which of their songs will be a hit and which will not.....it is the audience who decides it.....
