Asma does not have a Pure Arab back ground her real name is Asma mohammad Rafi Baloch . her fore father migrated from balochistan(Gawadar) Pakistan .and she speaks urdu hindi well before coming to india.

interesting. any facts? i was debating this in another topic. i suggested she having a south asian connection. this proves his highness right

Zee should have brought in Sugandha Mishra, classically trained singer, funny standup comedienne & a good mimicry artiste who participated & won accolades in The great Indian laughter challenge this season.

Not only we could have witnessed some fine singing she could've also regaled audience with her comic talent. So all in all a wholesome entertainer & a lot better one than the amateurish Asma.

The only hitch here might have been that Sugandha is devoted to classical music & doubt whether she would have agreed to Zee's downright unscrupulous TRP garnering tactics.
